Following in the footsteps of the Vikings near Schleswig, visiting the lambs behind the dike or simply across the "flat land", you are doing something for your well-being and health. With the North Sea wind in your face, many people feel as if they have put on their seven-league boots. The climate is also said to be particularly good for the respiratory system and metabolism. So what are you waiting for?
There is a good argument for cycling here again: the land is flat and (sometimes) you have a tailwind. There is hardly a better way to explore the area. Small lakes, wide fields and the salt air ensure clear thoughts and a free head. It is not for nothing that Schleswig-Holstein has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will find the Multimar Wattforum and a large fish market, if you want to enjoy some local produce. Walking along the water's edge or learning more about the Wadden Sea is an experience even for the little ones, as you can get to know some of the Wadden Sea's inhabitants personally and even look a sperm whale in the eye.
