Sustainability at Gut Apeldör

Pure nature

On our grounds of 112 ha you can experience nature up close. Gut Apeldör as its own “small” biotope is home to hundreds of herbs, plants and animals. In every season there is something to discover, such as our busy beehives in summer and the wild animals in winter. That’s why it’s especially important to us to protect this flora and fauna, so that future generations can also experience Apeldör as you know it!

What we do

Reduce water consumption.
Environmental awareness, in the areas of: Waste disposal, cleaning products, energies, etc.
Use of environmentally friendly products in greenkeeping
Regional suppliers
Partnership with Plant my Tree – so far we have planted 1492 trees
This is only a small part of what we do for the environment. We are constantly evolving, but you can do your part too.

What you can do

Use our Apeldör drinking bottles and do without PET bottles (available in our ProShop)
Dispose your garbage in the designated garbage cans
Use our RECUP cups for your hot drinks, instead of the paper cups

Since the beginning of 2021 we are proud to call ourselves National Park Partners!
We let “nature be nature”. This is our common goal: to protect living creatures & plants to ensure biodiversity.

We have been working with Plant my tree for more than two years. For a sold green fee we donate 1 € to the foundation, which plants trees in a nearby forest near Itzehoe.
